CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Vinyasa Flow - This moderately-paced class emphasizes linking breath with movement as we flow through a series of yoga poses to strengthen the body, improve balance, increase flexibility and calm the mind. Translated from Sanskrit, vinyasa means “connection.” Vinyasa Yoga synchronizes movement with breath which helps the practitioner develop a greater sense of self-awareness, balance, and harmony with themselves and their environment. Each class is unique, but may include the many variations of Sun Salutations as well as standing postures, inversions, backbends, twists, forward bends, and deep relaxation. This class is suitable for all levels.

Inferno Pilates  - Inferno Pilates is a training method which combines Pilates principles with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), based on the teachings of Inferno Hot Pilates™. It is an intense, full body workout designed to strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and improve overall health.  It is a very low impact workout, protecting your joints and muscles. Both bodyweight and light hand weights are used. It is designed for all fitness levels.

Slow Flow to Restore - This class offers mindful movement, gentle stretches and restorative poses to settle the body and mind. Perfect for those newer to yoga, or those who desire a slower-paced yoga practice. This class is sure to leave you with a feeling of pure bliss! All levels are welcome.

Yin Yoga - Slow down with this quiet practice that targets the deeper connective tissue with the aim of increasing circulation and improving overall flexibility. The practice of yin yoga provides the perfect balance to your active (yang) yoga practices and your busy life. Focusing on long-held floor poses combined with breath work and meditation, Yin yoga is helpful in relieving tension in areas such as the hips, pelvis, and low back. Poses are held for anywhere from 3-10 minutes with very little muscular engagement, often supported by props. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to stronger, more dynamic exercise such as running, walking, hiking, and cycling. This deep practice is gentle, yet intense, helping students not only to open the body, but also to cultivate the ability to observe and stay with sensation. All levels of practitioners are welcome.
